He is brilliant at mathematics but I have to say many things are scripted. Making mockery of people.  Those people who asks from public are all his man.  I can understand people doing square of 2 digit numbers in 5-10 seconds . I myself am pretty good at it. But for a three digit number is incomprehensible. But it is not difficult to learn by heart square root of 1000 numbers in one month. Sure he may be blessed with good analytical mathematics but certainly not a genius. I certainly don't want a human computer for just addition, multiplication and squares.

Genius in mathematics are not the one who does square and cube even calculator can do that. Geniuses are those who derives new identities in mathematics . Guys who created functions like Greens functions, stokes functions , Ptolmeys theorem, langarange Identity , L-hospital theorem  , maxwell's equations, integral and differential calculus etc are great.  These guys have created identify and method  where all the modern scientific advancements are based. Sorry I am saying this purely because of my research subject  where I have to go deeply into very complex mathematics.

I remember one of the dhoti channel in Asian Sky Shop showed similar programme for their product called Mathemagics. Where many  small kid of 7-8 year olds multiplied very big numbers and got answer instantly . They found square roots, division multiplications. I was amazed then. 

I don't know what is hidden behind this guy's magic. But, there a book - Vaidic Mathematics. It is based on ancient mathematics and perhaps written by Sukracharya. There you find many short cut way of multiplying any number by any number by your mind without any need of pen and paper within 5-10 seconds. Not only the multiplication, but also the division, addition, substraction were just a matter of few seconds using the logics used in the book.
