Hi DC, Yea google the stuff. I did that last time and got some recipe..and did try few of them..turned out OK..not so good..but it was edible. I guess you will just need some practice. Khaobadi, do you think marriage will always solve the cooking problem? So who is gonna cook? the wife? Don't dream too much.

Xena u don't understand, khaobadi is going to marry a cook he he moreover, i've tasted food cooked by girls that tasted terrible... DC_virus, whatever u do, wash everything to remove virus... hahaha...just joking अब भात पकाउन पनि के को रेसिपि? चामल हाल्ने rice cooker ma--पानी हाल्ने--switch थिच्ने। भात त पाकिहाल्छ automatic... अब दाल चैँ अल्लि गारो छ। There are just too many varieties of daal. I like नेपाली कालो दाल with ghee. If no मासको दाल then i like red or yellow (chana) whatever made in indian style....(daal fry) and u can easily find that recipe online.. अब कुरा आयो तरकारिको, Same formula for every kind of vegetables and similar to all the meat curry... Put some oil, heat it up, put methi, onion, garlic...etc...for flavor but don't burn it. then add potato first as most curry will have potato... if no potato, then fry those first that take longer to cook. if all the mix veg are similar then put them together and fry a little while. u need practice to know when is enough, then put salt, masala, chilli, whatever u want. stir it little so it won't burn, but don't make it Haluwa. then add tomato, dhaniya...u r ready... If you want to make no Daal but only tarkari jhol... we call that Tihun...तिहुन....just add some water or milk for soup... (depending on what u cooking--for eg. Chichindo tastes great with milk.) Meat is little diff depending on what u want to make; chicken chilli/mutton chilli is made diff than chicken/muton curry. normally just same thing like curry, except u need to fry more onion, garlic etc and also fry meat more...then add more varieties of masala... we need more input from a housewife, who cooks regularly. :-) but whatever and however we cook, it doesn't taste as good as in Nepal... i wonder why's that, may be psychological...

Hmm the only thing i cook is chicken breast...and this is how i do. Cut the chicken into small pieces marinate and keep aside for a while and then deep fry it but not all the way through. After that fry onions, ginger, garlic...and add the spices, few mins later add tomatoes and stir fry again and mix the chicken pieces into this sauce and cover and cook over a low heat until the chicken is done. Garnish with fresh coriander. DONE :)

A simple great dinner: Drink: Get a fine Canernet Sauvignon or Merlot Wine Appetizer: Toast some French bread with olive oil and top it with cheese and bake in the oven until it melts Main course: Make Spagetti with meatballs (JUst boil spagetti and top it with Ragu and meatballs) Of course add some cilantro onthe top (thats too much effort..heheeh) Dessert: Melt Swiss chocolate in a small pan over hot water and mix it with cream: It's a perfect dip for strawberrys More recipe's just call 1-800-hushpuppy..I 'll be at your service ciao hush

I will tell you the MOST SIMPLEST, YET ELEGANT dinner... It may little expensive, but I suggest you to try it. It's a FISH item. Ingredients: Salmon/Cat fish - 1 Lb. (probably cost you $5) Asparagus - 1/2 lb ( ~ $2) Parboiled rice - (Any other rice will work but I prefer Parboiled rice because of low carb.) Lemon pepper - Look in spice section of grocery store Preparation: 1. Marinate the fish with cumin powder and lemon pepper. Add little bit of salt. You figure out the quantity as your need. Don't peel off the skin of Fish. Don't slice it up yet. 2. Heat a pan with little bit of veggie oil. Don't pour too much, as some oil comes out of fish as well. 3. Place the fish on the heated pan, and cook in medium for about 5 min. Flip it to the other side, and cook for another 5 min until it turns brown. DON"T COOK TOO MUCH. FISH DOESN'T TAKE LONG TO COOK. Boil Asparagus for three/four min in microwave. Then, it's better if you grill it. But, you can put that on a heated pan with lite oil and cook it until you see some dark stripes. You know how to cook rice, and put some butter on it. You put all items in a plate and serve yourself with a glass of wine of your choice. Elegant dinner with not much hassle. :)
