i just saw an article it says average woman uses 6 lb of lipstick over the course of her life time . what do you think its true ?

lol now even this is a matter of discussion...hats off to all the smart girls.

i don't know about it as i am don't do make up...but i do dress up...
i think american's girl might use that much of lipstick...ohh if i am with my american freinds i feel i am stupid and feel like i don't know how to apply make up...there face is full of make up....and this research might apply to average american girls....

54 yrs times 365 days = 19710 days.

say, a woman uses lipstick once a day in average.

That means,

6 lb of lipstick in 19,710 days

19710 days = 6 lb
1 day = 6/19710 lb
= 0.3 * 10^(-3) lb

Weight of a woman = Gross weight - all other garments etc - 0.3 * 10^(-3) lb.

-It says an 'average women' and not 'every woman'. There are plenty who are all about face painting and perhaps use much more than 6lbs ( i happen to know a few, myself). likewise, there are women who have better things to do than to decrease their face value using those uughy products ( less is more type). well, the bottom line is.. its just a average- number thingy.. and generalization is ugly.

most americans girls wouldn't come out the house without a layer of chemical on their face...esp in the south.

yes sajhauser its not only south,,american's girl overall are same using layer of makeup.

Imi if one is naturally beautiful , then you don't need to do make up otherwise will look like bhoot .i only care about my clothes..

1) like lemon said, it referes to avg women hehe....not all.
2) some women have reddish lips (:P) so they don't need no lipstics at all hehe...
3) some women have almost back lips hehe...so they need it more..
4) some have thick luscious lips (like black women have ...hehe), they need more lipstics than those who have tiny one liner lips :D.

as for me, i don't need no lipsticks hehe....i am not kidding.. i took part in one of the dance shows in "parent's day" when i was in school. while all boys went for makeups including lipsticks, i did not need...i had and still have red lips hehe....:P :P

Anz..i never use lipstick..but if i need to do its very light i mean i go for eye make up,
most of the time i am without any makeup....it might be influenced by the place where i work i mean reasearch lab..
