Dear admin,
I'm really confused if NAS and SAN are the same person or two different in this web site sajha.com. I request you to clarify us all some of the issues that recently arouse here.
This morning, when I open this web site soon after reaching my work desk as always...I saw the post by NAS about the earthquake in kathmandu valley and possible damages. The way he has informed all of us "the public" here in this thread was very scarry, I was scared badly, I tried to contact my family back home immediately and it took me almost an hour to contact them. After talking to my family, I came to know that it was just an unnoticeable matter. Many of my friends were also very concerned by this fake messege. We all are concerned very seriously about it.
Since majority of people who visit this website are well aware, and educated to defend such misleading people wildly dancing on the arena....now its your call to clarify all of us. The first thing, you have to tell us that this NAS is not the same person- the admin of this web site, known as SAN....and you are not misleading a big mass of people spreading such devastating news....or now you really need to prepare for the consequesces. I, personally have started consulting with people to tackle such possible "act of violation" in the future. As I said before, if you don't clarify those confusions and take action against such "violation", you have to prepare yourself to take responsibility of all possible consequences.
Hoping for your immediate response.
Thanks.

NAS,
Thanks for your response. I read this diclaimer several times today, and my attorney (since he is also a victim)is also reviewing it carefully. The admin of this site will be notified the possible action if we can figure anything out since it is related to possible "public abuse" and we don't think is covered by the disclaimer. We will certainly discuss about it later.
Thanks

Ok I think this is now going a little further than I had anticipated. I have been accused of being NAS and/or been compared to him (n-1) times till today. After the N'th time today I am forced to write an explanation about it. I thought it was uncanny of people to observe SAN = NAS simply since it's backwards spelling of my name. The reason for hatred possibly goes back a long time back when NAS was posting semi nude images and I was not doing anything about it. I was more concerned about 'freedom of speech' than trying to understand the sentiment that sajha had become a part of a family for so many people. Visitors started feeling negativity towards the admin who was too concerned about 'freedom of speech' that he began to ignore the meaning of the word sajha itself. Sajha began to be not too sajha for all when NAS's semi nude photos were allowed in ramjham the photoalbum site of sajha. For this people began to make conjectures that SAN must be NAS if he allows such things and if he can do nothing about it. Thinking back, I should not have allowed that content but just as it has done for you, sajha has been a growing up experience for myself. You live and learn. I live and learn. Now since July there is not semi nude images publicly in ramjham. The theory that NAS = SAN also gained some momentum when we both started posting videos at vimeo.com. The fact is that vimeo is the best site for High Definition videos thesedays so it's a probable coincidence. It's like you and me having a saw if we are beginners in carpentry. Anyways, to cut the story short, NO, NAS and SAN are not the same person. We are two different people perhaps we do have some common interests, but SAN is not equal to NAS. I hope this is recognized by everyone because, I have no interest in being someone that I am not! I hope this clears up any confusion. I don't believe I enjoy policing the users of sajha and I generally hope that things will get cleared up on their own without any intervention on my part. But this issue seems to have been creeping up once in a while and I want to make sure the visitors here understand that sajha is not here to fool you. It's here to provide a space for us Nepalis to chill out from the monotony of life specially for most of us who are far from homeland. I hope we can use it well. I feel it my moral obligation to clear this up since most of you make a personal choice when you choose to spend your valuable time and energy in sajha. It's your choice that makes sajha a fun place to be. The world is becoming such a mess, I like to use my energy to spread more positive energy than to try to wallow in any negativity. Nas, as I had requested to you last week, if someone is scolding you for being me, it makes sense for you to tell them the truth - instead of prolonging the confusion and try to make them believe that i'm in fact you! Anyways, I hope this clears up any confusion and I hope we can move on towards better times at sajha! As always, my thoughts come out unedited and any inconvenience caused is unintentional.

San Funny how you gave your explanation seems you dont have better explanation to give. I once used to be regular of this site, but I have seen you banning people and seen your double standard rules of moderating this form. To be very precise you did ban me too, no not for using any foul words... not for posting nude pictures.... but because I saw how some threads gets deleted.... and few ppls suddenly stops visiting..... You do pull strings from behind dont you and yeah I will never forget you claiming that all the visitors in this site is 98 percent satisfied.... your voice then sounded like an opportunist and some useless thread popping up just to create some sensations is also for the merely gaining of popularity. As it is your own site so I am not complaining you, just dont boast yourself with things like sabai nepali ko saja when its not... and come up here with things like freedom of speech.. it just sounds craps coming from you.

San:
As administrator of a popular Nepali site you now hold some responsibility toward Nepalese who have begun to use this site for good and not so good reasons and you should use your best judgement to start policing users or do it on the basis of negative flags (add on feature) received by users.
NAS has been instrumental in possibly drawing many users to this site with his semi nude turned nude pictures. He has been arragont (no offence buddy) about his presence may be because of the leverage he had with you for many hits to the site. I have nothing against NAS other than his arrogant presence and viewed his albums but watched it go out of hand. I often thought, what's up with San to allow this. Does he need it? It was way out of hand when you had those little snippets on the home page. But I watched hoping you would realise and I guess many complained and you have taken the long due measures to make Sajha more family friendly.
I'm sure NAS is a great arrogant guy. His early pictures of family and friends with nice captions were amusing and I hope he goes back at it instead of going dirty though I might enjoy it. There is a place for everything isn't it? If he were to continue trying to create the impression that he is San, I think he should have to change his user name because I know this issue will creep up again in future. And with many new users joining the site you would not have to find a time and place to come up with explanations. Such resemblace when it becomes a problem should be solved by having NAS change his name and you as adminstrator should be able to do so.
I think Sajha is great site but needs a makeover. With many Nepalese coming to the United States every day or probably every semester this site can be a good resource. There are several ways to make this site more resourceful. Why don't you think big of the many ways you can use this site to help Nepalese and make it the homepage on every Nepalese computer. The time has come for the site to take off, after being on the runway for too long. I am hoping you will find the time to explore them instead of giving explanations.

Well it must be difficult for SAN to keep track of everybody. If SAN starts deleting and editing post, then tomorrow he will be accused of being biased by some of our sajha members. So I believe, the best thing for us at this moment is just to ignore the post of NAS so that his post will be lost in the wilderness if we don't reply.

when I opened sajha yesterday I was SHOCKED to see Earthquake thread, I could not even dare to click that. Like all of u, I remembered my near and dear ones in Kathmandu, I was almost dead for the moment. Closed my eyes and checked other sources (bbc, kantipur, nepalnews, cnn and everything). I could not believe ppl could make joke of such a serious matter. There r certain things in life we shd not joke abt, its in certain extent fine to make fun of girls, boys, netas, this, that our own personal stuff and other things but but it was tooooooooooo EMOTIONAL issue.During my last 4 yrs in SAJHA, i hav never been so mad at any other thread than this one. More than that I was paralyzed with greater shock to see our admin San's response. Does he want more Nepalis to shiver with fear and see nightmare (even for few moments) by seeing that thread? why cant u just delete that thread? After all u r also a common Nepali like all of us (except u run Sajha Dot Com), how did u feel when u just click that thread?Yes I agree its not possible to monitor everything but it was totally different case. There is limit of freedom. Nas it was not at all good thing u did.San, if u dont try to have control over such issues and Sajha users make fun of such sensitive issues, ppl will think u r no more different from Nas.San Ya please keep postiing nice videos, im lovin that and Nas, please concentrate on your rap, u know i like the way sing.My two cents...

i am very dissapointed at SAN for banning LATOBOY for no reason....
His explanation for banning latoboy was - another user called KUKPABOY was posting spam from the same IP.
I ask SAN, im using a public computer, IS it NOT possible for many people to have same IP and computer ????
have u never used computer at library, school, work that others use ? this is MADNESS...
also before that issue, i needed help with some other thing, and SAN said ok he will fix that issue and did NOTHING.
i will keep visiting sajha but less than before.. i am not very impressed.
ps- i have in the past also highly supported sajha by clicking on ads.. no more i will do that.

Why isn't Nas banned yet? I had no problem with his semi-nude pictures but the "earthquake" post really made me mad and I am sure it had the same effect for a lot of people.

"I could not believe ppl could make joke of such a serious matter"
Amazing bro, it was not a joke. Earthquake was indeed felt in Kathmandu but it was very minor.I got a misinformation. I propagated a information without solid verification. I did not intend to hurt peoples' sentiment. It was all unintentional. It was very unfornute. I am sorry to you and to all those who I have caused distress.
"why isn't Nas banned yet?" - blahblahblah bro

Gambler, you are latoboy and kukpaboy!! I have said this OVER and OVER again...No need to beat aroudn the bush, son. He has an IP from his home address while surfing sajha and he says it is a Public computer? HAHAHAH
San da man, finally you've banned the "troll" from sajha. This was perhaps the only web-board where trolling activities were permitted perhaps because being empathatic towards your Nep brethren, you decided to let even the trolls linger on. Now, I guess you've seen the light!
BTW, could you check Gambler's IP and kindly block that too since its the same as Kukpaboy and Latoboy's! Pls do the necessary and check the old posts to confirm if you have to.
A sajha well-wisher

SAN,
If you are not NAS, then prove it by banning NAS. do you have courage to do that?
A cold chill ran down my spine when I saw that Eathquake news. For the first time , i was completely senseless and hopeless for some time. It was very scary. The earthquake thread was really dreadful. how could this CORRUPTED PERSON( NAS) do that?
REMEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! spreading such kind of MALICIOUS INFORMATION is also termed as TERRORISM. Have you thought how many sajha users were devastated by hearing that earthquake rumor???????????? this is really a HORRIBLE ACT.
SO, ban this TERRORIST NAS. and make sure this kind of act would not repeat again. DO NOT forget that sajha is a SOCIAL NETWORKING site and it has its own pride and dignity. so SAN , if you don't get it, you don't get it...............
by the way, is it possible to unban LATOBOY???????

i agree with newface. i always liked nas for his uniqueness and i respect san to let free speech rule in sajha. however, nas crossed the line this time. i don't know if he did it intentionally or unintentionally but it did shook me off. i have my elderly mother living back home in a house built by my late father. that night after reading the post i couldn't sleep for another 3 or four hours , and i kept trying to call her back home.until my nephew back home hold me that everything with her was ok i felt very helpless and panicing . If nas hasn't asked for apology for this incident, he sure should do now and he better mean it this time. and maybe this should be the last chance for nas to come into a social public domain like sajha and scare / irrate Nepalis living abroad.

I am really surprised at this thread. Seriously, whats wrong with all of you? Sajha is not a news site, and nor is it a website that has 100% accurate information that is peer reviewed by various scolarly PhD doctors before anything is published. This is just a place where normal ordinary people come in and post their thoughts and views. San in just one individual, I am sure he did not open this website and meant it to be a full time job for himself. He must HAVE A LIFE! I am sure there are other things he needs to do, hence, just because he has not listened to the requests of handful of people or made a bad decision once about not deleting a specific thread does not make him a hypocrite or whatever some people have called him. Nas might have posted a thread which actually distressed a lot of people... which I understand is not the right thing to do.. but his apology explains that he was misinformed. Even if he was not misinformed and was was posting things to get attention (which would be wrong), why is San to blame for that?
If you read something in sajha... you should know better and switch on to RELIABLE sources like nepalnews.. and even internation news channels that would broadcast something that serious. And about banning the "trolls", as this is a personal website owned by San, I dont think any of us should force San to ban someone because you dont agree with that person. Some people have been banned before because of their disorderly conduct, but dont you think the admin would be a good judge of character and know if a user is TRULY a threat to the website? There might be some glitches and flaws in this website.. but COME ON.. San in not super human and it is not his FULL TIME duty to take control of whats going on in sajha. How can you expect one human being to comply to the wishes of thousands?
And Mr./Ms. Abhayaa, are you kidding me? An attorney for a thread in sajha. LOL

HAHAHAH Are you fo' real homie?? And what may I ask is TROLLING then?? Is is some sort of a non-disorderly conduct? Please save me the speech when you are unaware of the true meaning of the word.
Dekchi, glad to see someone here is into the 'urban' lingo too. The troll piece is exactly what I had thought about posting earlier but refrained as I wanted peeps to google it and know all about it...On the net, one road leads to the other (pardon my morphed version of Robert Frost) and by the end, the ones who knew not what a troll was would end up writing a dissertation on it.

San,
Its really great to read your explanation. Keep up your good work and make the nepali community always informed and happy.
Nas: you have definately played with the feeling of us all and your own family as well. Things goes around, comes around...I read your apology before your thread was deleted. I really appreciate that you've realized at some point. I hope you will not do this again. lets live happily together wherever we are and support the family back home.
Thanks guys.

I was hoping more people could see the big picture here. I've no issues against Nas, however this should not be permitted on a website with such high traffic. We have hundreds, possibly thousands of students visitng this website everyday. Consider the consequences before making a decision to post such a serious matter. And, why has not this issue not been taken care of? Why has the thread still not been deleted - even after numerous people having complained of it? I'm was very much shaken by the news, however I knew I had to gather more sources to confirm it. Some may not. And, it would have a devastating effect on people with family back home.
All I'm saying is, please care about others on this forum. Everybody is here to discuss, and learn from one another. Ths website has relentlessly helped many people, so let's try and keep it that way.
