This is Priyanka Karki again. I was reading all the comments and threads that were related to me and my performance at the University of North Alabama. It really broke my heart to read everything that was written!!

First of all my sincere apologies to everyone who have been hurt by my act. Being just 21, there were a couple of issues that I could not address with intelligence and truly from heart i would like to say 'I am sorry'. After all I am only human and human beings do make mistakes.

When Global Culture Night happened in The University of North Alabama, I was firstly approached by the president of the Indian Student organisation to do a performance. He had told me to 'dance in a Bollywood number'. So actually I did not have a choice. I rather took it as a platform to showcase my talent and did not realize the issues and questions that it would raise later.

Nothing was intentional and I am really sorry to everyone whom I have hurt. I love my country and I always will. We have Global Cultural Night on April 18th 2009 again and this time I promise I will make all of you proud by my performance.

Straight from my heart, one last time 'Sorry everyone' and Thank you Nas for your immense support.

i don't agree priyanka is a slut, but indeed, she is not the 'beauty' that some of the so called fans (पंखा ? हा हा हा हा ) are after.

anyhoo, i personally believe that she deserves exculpation now, as she has publicly regretted for what she did.

There is nothing wrong dancing at the bollywood no. during global cultural night. Dont feel sorry. Even if it is wrong let it be wrong after all  its just a college talent performance / entertainment purpose.

But you are really simple and humble I thought you'll come up with all the anger and attitude like every girl who is 21 but you are so simple despite all the talent and the beauty you poses. Wish you all the best for your next performance.

 

It wouldn't matter if you'd just danced in a bollywood number. I feel you've used that as a "big" publicity stunt. And, Miss Priyanka, you seem to be very good at it. There's a lot of similarities between the last incident when you clarified, and this one. But, it's good that you have not used "This one goes out to all my fans who have loved..." phrase as you did in your first clarification.

I apologize for being a pop-culture ignoramus here, but who is Priyanka Karki?

... and what's the big deal if she danced to a hindi song?  If Nepali Association comes up with a proposal for her to sing to Resham Firiri, I am sure she will oblige.  Just as she will be happy to do "bonodori" dance should a Japanese Association approach her.  No?

When you are in a university, you are there to expand your horizons.  You should not pigeonhole yourself to one single criteria.

Just my opinion.

And she has expressed her  apology (actually she did not need that), this shows that she is a good human
being. (You know, the normal culture in sajha is to retaliate with more
abusive languages). But she chose something different - admitting
mistakes. Respect it.

mr. Commando, tell me honestly, do you really think
one needs to perform in hindi song in order to gain public attention?
Is this the reason why our ministers and leaders speak in hindi in
media interviews during their official delhi visit ? Somebody - she
probably does not even know-  taped her performance in mobile cam,
uploaded the video in YouTube, another guy puts that video in sajha One
year later, and people start making nonsense comments, and here you are
saying - she is making public stunt? I

  I do agree, it was not
a wise decision; at her part;  performing in Hindi music at formal
college program. Now she has regretted that publicly; lets close it here.

Then we sajha users can have another discussion demanding your apology (again!) for dancing to a Moldovian tune, while heralding conspiracies that you secretly have a Moldovian boyfriend.

But seriously, you didn't have to apologize! Sajha is the land of hypocrites (myself included). We all know we sing Hindi tunes in the shower and lock ourselves in our rooms trying to dance like Hritik Hroshan and end up looking like drunk monkeys.

Well never take this place too seriously. It can get to you. Just have fun :D

Hello Priyanka

There is nothing wrong in dancing in bollywood numbers. Everybody does. But we really have to be careful which programme we are dancing. Especially for someone whose name will somehow always be asscociated with Nepal. But for you to come here and infact acknolwedging that you never thought about the consequeses has raised my respect for you thousand folds. I hope from now on nobody comes and use abusive languages to you.

By the way, timi ramri ta cha.........tara sweet chiz ni dherai khayo bhane tito huncha. Timro tyo Rastriya Banijya Bank ko adversiement le hairaan pari sakyo. Yaha tv ma timro add every 10 minutes ma aaucha. Kati nepal paisa pathau paisa pathau bhani raheko. Hamilai paisa jamma parna garo.

sajha users really think highly of themselves.....priyanka apologized "in public" and they are sooo generous to forgive her so quickly for healing thier hurt egos.

If Russian Gals are Dancing around the Bollywood Stars in BTOWN then i don't see they have to ask for sorry with Vladimir putin or entire Russia.

It was her down to earth nature as i mentioned before she did it and we should appreciate it.

End of the Day Priyanka Bahini is our cheli and once you have talent it dont get wasted. They always come out some where ok next time chiya bari may be the options

at the moment just shut the whole issue out and focus on the wild fire in Nepal and the mofo weather we all are facing here. The  blanket of smoke and particles makes visibility like having a condom on your face.

you think a Russian girl can get away dancing to Indian tune to represent Russia during a festival (let's say their Independence day, if they do have one)? I really don't think so, Putin will KGB her ass and her body will never be found, be buried somewhere in deep freezing Russian tundra. If you are going to explain a situation with an example, please check if it does even make sense. It does not with yours.
