Crack boy, Congratulation!!! Why don't to take advice from a good immigration lawyer to process for your Green Card. You can just take as suggestions through this thread but you can't rely completely on it becoz it's not 100% authentic. Good luck for it.

Crackboy, if you have valid status (if in H1b working and have each paystubs, tax report), then u can just apply for change of status in USA. Better consult some expert.

Fst congrats.... First process, U dun need any documents at this moment. U will need them only at the time of Adjustment of status. Jst fill out DS 230 part 1 and 2, and DS 122. Remember therez , jst 1 place in the form where u can write"BCIS" if u wish to adjust status right here in US. Send the form to kentucky consular center, After that all u need to wait for is ur case to b current. The process for 2010 DV runs from october 1st 2009 to september 30 2010. That means U should finish every process within september 30th , 2010. If u want to know the statistics of 2009 DV , here is the link. http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html B sure, U give an address in which u can receive mails for like 1 and half year more, at least. There is the option for current bulletin and archieved bulletin. From the archieved bulletin, U can see in which month, what range of case number became current in each year. After that U can manipulate or guess roughly, in which month ur case will b current. For 2009, case numbers upto 30500 for Asia has been current for the month of june. Ur 26000 range should fall in this same group. However, u might b aware that 50000 is the limit. So, Its even ur luck, if u will reach that limit or not. The documents checklist u need to preapre are in ur fst letter. Preapre that in advance and b ready. other helpful sites for u will b www.USCIS.gov There are other sites where u can find people sharing their experience. Google it and U will find it, BUT DO NOT RELY FULLY in those things. Best of luck DUDE!!!!

Go to the forum http://forums.immigration.com/forumdisplay.php?f=38. They have lots of people experience with DV and they can help you. I think you have a good chance as this year 30,000+ case number get current in June.

Congrats ! concerning your case no. in 26,000 range. As said above these days almost everybody from Asia who got the first letter have gotton their second letter too. That means. all the case no. got current. Since you are here in US, you will have two options to process your DV case. I) Consular processing II) AOS (adjustment of status) since your case no. falls in 26,000 it might take a while for you to get your second letter and all DV cases of 2010 should be completed between october 1st 2009 to september 30 2010. As far as I know AOS takes little more time than the consular processing. The core thing is you should be very very careful about the time frame mentioned above if you decided to go for AOS. For consular processing, you will have to do everything from Embassy in Nepal.

Crackboy!!! The answer for all ur questions are: "As long as U are maintaining ur status through any means, U are good and nothing matters except that.Any other extra qualifications or degree than ur diploma back in nepal are not gonna matter huge, except u might make a good impression." The forms that U need to send to USCIS after ur case becomes current are I-485, G-325A, I-765(Optional, But if u wish to apply for work permit at the same time), I-134(affidavit of support). U can find these in USCIS website that I mentioned earlier under Immigration forms. The criteria for eligibility and evry other information about these forms are given right there. Go Thru it. You urself can be a sponsor if u have sufficient funds. A sufficient fund would be roughly at least 30,000 annual income+ 15000-20000 bank balance. An American citizen or permanent resident is required to fill up I-134. This is to show them the proof that U will not become a public charge. ur own paystuffs and bank balance matters only if u wish to b self sponsored. On ur way of processing, U will b provided step wise instruction in the mail. Other than that, finding information in the web will b really helpful. So don't panic that much.

As i received NL recently and there are 3 forms as I called kentucky consular centre and they told me to just mail DSP 122 form and pics if I want to do AOS here in the united states. Is that true or not will i have to mail all the forms back? How long does the AOS takes as my number is around 26000 is it better for me to do CP. Please post down your thoughts and thank you very much.

i got the NL from KCC as well and my case number is in 12*** . I m planning to do AOS. I have been thru the web and called the KCC couple of times about this. So, as far I know you need to submit all the forms in your packet to KCC and dont forget to mention BCIS in the form if u wanna go wid da adjustment of status as well. As this year case upto 30,000 was current for asia region so u gotta very fare chance as well. and about the second letter i have heard that KCC won't send the second letter to us if we wanna go wid AOS. they will provide all the information to USCIS and from there one can start the processing. You can also go to your nearby USCIS office and learn about al the procedures from there. I am planning to go there tomorrow. But dont forget to make the appointment thru infopass on USCIS website before goin there. All the best to you
