I can see well visioned people are in this thread .They say its 21 st century but belive in slavary. They dont have eyes to see people's awareness. They see all villagers are uneducated. My believe is that city people are eductaed definately but they are very far away form the rural reality. While talking about the political awareness, village is/ was and will be much ahead of those so called educated short minded city people( not the generalized one, for those who bark senseless things here and there).

GEFONT officials thrashed by Maoists

KATHMANDU, April 3 - Maoist cadres Tuesday morning attacked five General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT) officials in Jamal, Kathmandu.

The Maoist affiliated Young Communist League cadres thrashed GEFONT Bagmati Zone Vice-Chairman Thakur Kumar Shrestha, Secretary of the Kapan Unit Ravi KC, Sitaram Thapa, Binod Kumar Tamang and Prakash Lamichhane over an issue of vehicle parking.

Meanwhile, GEFONT issued a press release this afternoon, condemning the event and stating that it was shameful that the Maoists were continuing violent activities even after joining the government

अपहरण गरी कुटपिट

काठमाडौं, (नेस)। काठमाडौंबाट नुवाकोटतर्फजाँदै गरेका एक युवकलाई माओवादीले बसभित्रबाटै अपहरणपछि कुटपिट गरी सख्त घाइते बनाएका छन्।



नुवाकोट घर भएका राजाराम पाठकलाई ४ जनाको संख्यामा रहेका माओवादीका कार्यकर्ताले शुक्रबार राति करिब नौ बजे मुड्खुखोलाबाट अपहरण गरेका थिए।



पाठकलाई घाइते अवस्थामा नजिकैको जंगलमा गोठालाले देखेपछि प्रहरीको सहयोगमा शनिबार उपचारार्थ वीर अस्पताल ल्याएका थिए। माओवादीले बस चालक राधाकृष्ण पाण्डेसँग करिब ५ हजार नगदसमेत लुटेका थिए।

Panditji! what a shame you calling yourself Panditji but living with foolish beleif.
Are you sure Democracy is the rule of majority against minorities? Do you mean in democratic countries there is no place for minorities? Is it a country or the terrorists to punish people? How come these terrorists punish people so cowardly? HOw come they rule the country without peoples mandate?

I have different view man. I think in democracy there should be right of every single to live in fearless situation. Forming the government by majority does not mean its the rule of majority against minority. People should feel rule of law and order however culprits should not be left punishless.

Ofcourse Nepalese dont want to replace one autoctary with another. Maoists (or Prachanda / Baburam) has no right to rule the country without peoples mandate. As you said time definetely will not live both notorious autrocrats and terrorists punishless. Just have patience to wait and see!

लहान, वैशाख ५ - सिरहाको रामनगर मिर्चैया-४ स्थित निर्माणाधीन निजी विद्यालय भवनको काठपात माओवादी कार्यकर्ताले भत्काएर लगेका छन् ।
मल्हनिया खोरी-४ का धनिकलाल साह र किशोरकुमार खतिवडाद्वारा मिर्चैयास्थित १० कठ्ठा जग्गामा बनाउन सुरु गरिएको चन्द्रज्योति आवासीय विद्यालय भवन निर्माणकै क्रममा माओवादी कार्यकर्ताले मंगलबार सा“झ भत्काएर ट्याक्टरमा लगेका हुन् ।

पीडित धनिकलाल साहका अनुसार आफूले विद्यालय भवन बनाउन सुरु गरेदेखि नै स्थानीय माओवादी कार्यकर्ताले पटकपटक नबनाउन चेतावनी दिने गरेका थिए । माओवादी कार्यकर्ताले राजपरिवारका नातेदार शोभा शाहीको जग्गा भएकाले घर नबनाउन चेतावनी दिने गरेको पीडितले बताए । तर साह र खतिवडाद्वयले एक वर्षघि कल्याणपुरका वीरेन्द्र साहस“ग ३० लाख रुपैया“मा जग्गा किनेको जनाए ।
स्थानीय बासिन्दा राजपरिवारका नातेदार शोभा शाहीका पति मोहन शाहीको नाममा रहेको उक्त जग्गा वीरेन्द्र साहले किनेकोसम्म थाहा भएको बताउ“छन् । पीडितले अधुरो विद्यालय घरका काठ दाउरा र लागतसमेत दर्ुइ लाख रुपैया“ बराबर क्षति भएको दाबी गरेका छन् ।

2.Maoists threaten cops in Kaski, order them to leave village immediately.....

KASKI, April 20 - Maoists Friday threatened the police team–which had gone to Dhamkos in Kaski to reconstruct the police station which was destroyed during the "People's War" – and ordered them to immediately leave the village.

The Maoists also threatened that they would take "physical actions" against the team if it refused to leave the village by today.

Following the Maoist threat, Ward Police Station, Bagar asked for human rights activists' intervention to help the two sides reach an "agreement".
