For the people who attended ! what do you think about the new years eve dance party in DC? Me personally think that the party sucks big time. From venue to the music and from drinks bar to the food. Feel sorry for the people who waisted their precious moments in the party like that. Complete disaster....

DalliPokche.. did you come to NewYears party??? Yeah!!! I think it is possible to raise money for the Victims.... but someone has to fork up some money upfront to have the party. But it is not a bad idea.... well if the young croud is up for another party in February for Valentines Day..... I say we should do it... but it is a big hassle to throw a party........... and I doubth it people who put up the money upfront would like to see some profits first, .......... Like I said the idea is not bad........... I guess as an organizer, they should thiink the time it takes to put up a party, that time used should be considered Volunteer service for the Victims.....Keep the cost of the party and give the rest to RedCross.

Like I said organizing a party is a lot of work and money, and honestly, amateur promoters can't take that risk to organize it just for Charity. Well established promoters have already made plenty of money from their other events that they can care less to make money out of Charity events, its like a Public Relations for them also. My suggestion would be to have the party and assign someone there to collect any additional donation that people might be willing to. That way we can have both goals achieved. How about that?

Ok Guys sorry to barge in on this thread..I didn't attend the DC party neither do i have any comments about any party. One thing that struck me is.. why Tsunami?? Isn't the whole world helping them ?? I don't mean to sound too rude but the point is...why not Maiti Nepal, PRERNA, Bridha Asham, Orphanages in Nepal, The grief stricken families back home, the school's in the rural areas.. why not them??We all know how bad the situation is.. do we need to wait for a natural calamity to strike in order to help? As one of my frens said.. every site you go ,any paper you read we see "help the tsunami victims"..it is a catastrophe.. a horrible one- but what about our own kith and kin. P.S Dalli's idea is a noble one..if we want it we can make it happen.. all for a good cause! Just my two pence Phoenix

why did dalli had to pull "black guy dying" on this thread? besides, dalli, you said, tsunami happened before new years eve and people were dying while we were partying! so if you say organize a dance party, what do you expect us to do, people are still dying in south asia, you want us to come to dance party and mourn?

N T C , What ree "nepalese in DC are weird..They don't even speak english at all..All they speak is hindi and nepali... " hey how cud u generalize abt all the DC ko nepali just seeing few of them..........n u said u r not from US haina.......well in my view there r all kind of people in a place .........so please don't generalize unless u r too sure abt it........n also ppl won't be cool just talking in english ...U shud be able to communicate with the ppl accordingly ..it doesnot make any sence to do chater pater in english among the group of ppl who can hardly understand it ..DC is a place where there is lots of cultural diversity..so betta not compare the ppl here with the ppl of other states.....well, just wanted to let u know abt it..........i live in DC and i speak 4 different languages.............so please think twice b4 u comment abt anyone....n we r not weird either.........don't take it seriously............just felt like explaining u after i read ur remarks........... cheers, ......................
