Live Wire, So you agree that all the Basnets, Kunwars, Pandeys, Thapas and even Koiralas should be banned from the government? Why do we keep giving these idiots second, third, fourth chances esp when the same person keeps coming up? If you are going to tell me that 230 years of history and heritage is worth throwing away for hope thats not even there, I should be able to say that the ass kissing these clans (basnets, thapas, pandeys, kunwars and koiralas) have shown in the past 230 years gives me enough evidence to kick their ass out of the country. So do we have a deal here? :)

'reeking of violence'?????? or Wreaking violence????? Whatever it is..anyway, the Shah's have been partying for more than 200 years. It's time to end the party. To all those people in and outside Nepal who are looking to commit suicide, why don't you do something good before you die,may be by becoming a suicide-bomber and getting rid of Monarchy in Nepal and helping in establishing a democratic republic for good. Ain't that a great idea. You will become an instant martyr that the Nepalese people will remember for the entire time to come.

Shame on you SAYAMI for this stupid cartoon. This reflects your ignorance and your idiotic character. King Gyanendra, despite his worng deeds is still the King of your and my beloved Nepal. Even though you may not agree but traditionally, culturally, and officially he is the King of a soverign country and that country is none then ours. SO, it is a very cheap and shameful act of yours to have that bloody cartoon. You should respect even your enemies; good people fight the bad but with respect and within the norms because every one in this world deserves respect and this is a King for god's sake. Have some respect.

Shah dynasty is never going to end. In the royal history, all the prince and the kings have always been having illicit affairs with their maids, servants and many other women who bow at their wealth and power.

He tried and failed.BUt can we really blame him? He became king just few years ago. Some People here are talking as if nepal was in par with US or European countries before Gyanendra's Takeover. Rememember when King overthrown Deuba ain 2001(2001 I guess) EVERONE IN KATHMANDU DID deepwali and posted message in newspapers. I never understand why some people think it was king who destroyed the country. The very same people like to close their when Joshi, wagle and likes made billions but have problem king talking 63 crore. By the way King do touch so called damai sarki and most of us have seen this in TV Its bloody bahun and cheetris (I am also one) who are making issues of caste.

the dynasty will not go away... as i have said before, leeches don't die when the rain ends, they come back the next wet season.. we have so many examples..social elites and powerful will find a way to negotiate with those(new forces) who now want a piece of the pie and action. tara i don't have probelms seeing them yeild power.. when they(shahs) had the power, i don't think it was efficiently used, orelse, we would have been in a better state of affairs. let's prepare a report card for the shah rulers. maximum kura ma they will have a grade 'D' (danger of failing) or below grade. ho, they unified, we might as well give them an 'A.' tara how about other standards? they have failed or come close to failing. once again performance-results-time granted.. dismal results!!! this is not a witchhunt or political tit for tat. it is a start to a new road and a rejection of a failed system that has led us for over 230 years. 230 years.. thru the industrial revolution, rana rule, psuedo-colonialism, world wars, the list can go on and on and on... it's hight time we start holding these powerful people accountable. enough of free pass and naive understanding of politics. if shahs want to serve and have political power, run for elections (like the koiralas)! there are 2 congress parties which call themselves socialists.. ofcourse there are communists, UML and so on, and ofcourse maoist(most extreme and radical), then we have an imerging royalists RPP... and then there are satbhawana party and other tom dick and harrys of nepali politics.. so i guess shahs and their coutires can join in the bandwagon and form their own party or join with the existing ones. i am sure we all love choices..

Most of you all are still not happy and satisfied with all the bloodshed and abduction of innocents, torture of those showing resistence, rape of minors by the so called new freedom fighters, blaming it all to the Shahs. You all are so caste conscious I guess that would be being racist in modern terminology. Be it the Shahs or Koirala's or Pandeys what does it matter why don't we reconcile to the fact that we are all Nepalese and we need to hope for a better future of nepal and we can do so by learning to respect one another and have trust in our leaders who are trying to save our country from a catastrophy. Open your eyes guys and stop this foul mouthing, it is disgusting and unnecessary.

Dimple wrote: Most of you all are still not happy and satisfied with all the bloodshed and abduction of innocents, torture of those showing resistence, rape of minors by the so called new freedom fighters, blaming it all to the Shahs. as much as i want to give you plaudits for speaking your mind, i am wondering if you ever bothered to analyze the ground reality of nepal. :P. to get into the gist, i think one needs to realise the crux of the problem of nepal and see what shah regime (who ruled nepal for almost 250 freakin years) did or intended to do to address that very problem of nepal. 1) if you think nepal was peaceful under panchayati system, then excuse me for being harsh, but ms. i have to draw a simple conclusion that you have not expanded your vision outside thankot. :P.. i, hereby, request you to come to the ground and see nepal beyond narayanhiti and ktm. 2) nepal's major problem has always been 'social disparity'. we have hierarchichal social structure which always gives undue advantage to the so-called upper class and the poor unprivileged ones (dalit, mahila, janajati, madishe) have always been the victim of oppression/suppression for centuries. 3) be it during rana regime, shah regime or girija regime, there was no single conspicuous and sincere effort in the part of the rulers, to address/solve the problem. 4) nepalese did not ever get a chance to breathe air of complete freedom. beareaucracy, politics, education everywhere, these privileged group of people (close to royals and rulers) have their influence and hence they dictate their own terms. their strong grip over the system is invincible. 5) the war that we saw for the past 10 years is because of this differences. keeping the prejudices for and against maoists aside, it should be understood that this war was inevitable. a poor in a village does not get enough food and our so-called prince rides harley in the street of ktm. wow! how fair! 6) it takes a revolution to bring a social reformation of the magnitude that the "just nepal" was/is craving for. what and how will the new regime do to restructure the unjust society of ours is still to be seen but at least we are in a right direction and if we follow the right path, hopefully we will see a new, just nepal in the future. I Just dont get it .............Recent Visit to Nepal............I saw Maoists in a power trip with guns in their hand...uneducated....and abusing authority as they dont have to answer to Law of any kind ...kind a exempt from law......Bribes in the name of Chanda..I mean donation.....more like extortion..........Local business people are fed up as everything seems for taking free for these Maoist cadres...........I aproached a maoist soldier and politely asked him........what happens after the peace is signed??? He said I have been promised Land Car and lots of money.........And then he wishes to settle in kathmandu and send his kids to a very good boarding school and he himself wanted to open a shop.............INTRESTING..........I asked again if all of his friends(comrades) has been promised the same offer...he said yes..........I boldly asked him do they pay him any thing now and he smiled and told me that everyone got Rs 500 a month....... and he added for a poor man like me that is still money. he further noted that when maoist takes over the government he was going to have all his monetary problems solved and he would never pick up a gun in his life again.............Well I said bye and moved ahead confused and taken back that all these maoist cadres are fighting for a better life......as promised by their leaders. Like the politicians do to our common public during election................its all politics...................My point is everyone in Nepal and around the world thrives for a better convenient life style......Money controls everything....................Oh yes as I came to a turnwhere a group of Maoist were gathered around ...they were singing...........I listened to them as the sang and danced ..........Sim sime pani ma ...........le kali hey hey choya ko doko ............and all the songs we all are so familar to all Nepali.........All countries have their own Identity and culture........Ours is yet the dearest and best for me......Our tradition and culture separetes us from rest the world and Unites all Nepali as we are so familar with it. the Shah Dynasty has shaped our identity as brave Gorkhali around the world......they united all Nepal and fought of any attack from both the giant nations surrounding us..............I wonder sometimes if we had been defeated in Battle and killed.............would some of us still be here ??? I mean what if our family blood line was not protected then when Nepal was at war?????? Our culture was protected.....so was many blood lines of us who are living today. Nepal has gone through so many ups and downs..............But the worst was when one nepali killed another in the fight for a better living. The one who dies passes away leaving living death to all his loved ones.... ............why didnt Maoist take a peacefull approach to all this ?????/ I bet everyone would have supported them if their cause was to achieve their goal in a peacefull manner.....................But Picking up arms and Voilence was their choice of language. Equally responsible was the government to have created situations to give birth to the Maos. Nepal is rapidly Sinking............We are loosing our identity, Culture and tradition slowly because our past tradition culture and History so Much Revolves around the love and respect for OUR KING, , THE PEOPLE and this very Nation we call HOME NEPAL.

Did I offend you in anyways???...............whatever............... it is Nepalese like you who make it impossible for any hope of peace in our nation. Lashing it out to another Nepalese and calling your self a proud nepali......there is nothing proud but false pride of EGO is what I sense in you PAL
