Ha ha ... Sunday pop was quite a show,no? :D Main source for western music videos before the advent of MTV in Nepal. And then when MTV came, not sure about you guys, but the thing was as addictive then (at least in the beginning) as Sajha is now.

ho ni di...SUNDAY POP it was...hai? kasto majja aaunthyo. that's the only program i used to watch happily with my sis. :P else, you know girlie choices.......tv series- "kyun ki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi" and all, which i abhorred watching all my life.... :P

btw, i did use to watch pakistani series. i thought they were good- most of them! and pakistani actresses are mostly all good looking hai? :P... one thing i liked about those series was, they shot close-ups in almost all the scenes. it's hard to act when camera takes close-ups of the actors, coz u need to emote through facial expressions more than dialogue delivery....:-) that's when acting becomes difficult IMHO...yeah those days..:(

Hmm ... but I do remember "Tara" and "Banegi Apne Baat" - very popular with people - especially women folks but some men as well (at least in the beginning). Me was never too big a fan either. Did you ever watch "Football Made in Germany" by any chance? :D

The other show I remember - and this was when I was a kid - as in really a kid - was "Gillete World Sports" on NTV. Was fascinated by all the adventure sports they showed - water skiing, hand gliding ... man!

...Did anybody watch "BUNIYAAD" from doordarshan? i thought it was pretty good. that's one of few series i watched....may be because there were not many other entertaining programs those days...oh yah, and i absolutely loved SIGMA , it was quite interesting....what else...hmmm....CHUNAUTI...yahh the one based on college life. that was a gem...hehe ....
