send the photo like they have said since they will have to cut the photo to resize.

To my understanding, don't glue the photo to the application. Just write your name at the back of each photo, ziplock it and send along with application. that makes total of 3 photos.

Guys, where did you get the photo taken from? Don't we have to meet the measurement requirement? Or you are saying we can send 2X2 (as required in American Passport) and they will cut and resize? Thanks for the info in advance.

If you get your photos from color lab/photo studio (not cvs , rite aid , walgreen etc ), then you do not have to cut or rearrange.Just let them know , you need a photos for Nepalese Passport , they will find it for you .

Selfunity,

Are you telling that 2" by 2" from CVS, Walgreen etc. is not acceptable for MRP?

All they need is you to submit 2 sets of passport pictures - whether from CVS, Walgreens, Costco (hands down the cheapest option). They'll resize it themselves.

Still not clear. When you said passport pictures - are you talking about american passport pictures (2x2) and they will cut it off to match nepali size? I heard border is required..am I wrong?

let's make it simple. You can go anywhere you want like walgreens, or cvs or costco or walmart. Ask them to make 2 inch X 2 inch photo. Don' worry about the border or nepali or american passport pic. You need to send 3 pieces of 2X2 pics to the embassy and they will resize the pics as they need.

Hey, another quick question for this thread. In Line No. 14 (Next of Kin) information section I have put my Father-In-Law's information because they are my immediate relatives who have a permanent address in Nepal. So my current (or expiring) passport has my dad's name in 'Guardian or Nearest Relative' page but on the Passport Application Form for the new MRP I have put my father-in-law's name in 'Next of Kin' because my parents migrated here. Should that be a problem because it looks like on most passports the 'next of kin' information is about parents. Let me know your thoughts.

The "Address" portion of the MRP form:

Can it be US address or it needs to be Nepal address?

I had asked this question to embassy's email in DC. They responded saying that the address has to be our permanent or reachable address in Nepal. Initially, I had thought of keeping my permanent US address (as Nepal ko address ma ghar number nai chaina and over the years they have changed the street name to three different martyr’s name – which is why I still don’t know what is the official name of the street where my house in Nepal is). Anyways, to avoid conflict and confusion try to keep Nepal’s address.

@power_ranger, if you are refering to the #11 on the form, you should write the address written on the citizenship card.
please refer to page 2/ number 11 instruction on this link
