you can get softwares that do taht...heres a free software: http://www.newsoftwares.net/folderlock/ one easy solution i use is making the folder hidden....if you right click on the folder and check the hidden attribute. with the hidden attribute your folder wont be listed when you're browsing for files. you can show hidden folders by going on to Tools>FolderOptions>View and check view hidden folders hope that helps

hey rahulvai, can't hide all the XXX-stuff, huh.... i think u can use the folderlock that DC-virus provided, for only 10 uses or sth like that, after that you need to purchase full version.... i used to use it myself some time ago, but i lost the password and now, i can't remove the program without the password... so try 2 remember the password... AC/DC, did u also take DC-virus advice and try to hide a file....and now can't retrieve it ......... don't feel bad, i did 2....... ;-p DC-virus, HELP.....

Do just what DC_Virus told you. Tools>FolderOptions>View scroll down and you will see show hidden file click it and the hidden file appears as kinda translucent folder. You can again right click->properties and uncheck hide folders to make the folder normal again. Another easy way is to use command prompt. Use attrib command. Google for attrib command or just type attrib /? on command prompt.
