Again I find this really funny....

13000 people are dead - Govt. doesn't do anything.... What about bauram, prachanda?

Now they want revenge on those that are against there interest.... by the way if they don't know it yet the King is the one who was against their movement...will they go after him...not likely...they will go after people they can bully and destroy....

Truly funny...hilarious.

They should take a lesson from American Civil War History...Lincoln, did not exact revenge against the south becasue he knew it would further divided the country!

Unite the country...forgive, forget.... ...worry about water for everyone not going after people to exact revenge...stupid and ridiculous and comedy of errors

Aren't there bigger problems to worrry about....

Govt forms judicial commission to probe atrocities against pro-democracy demonstrators

Kantipur Report

KATHMANDU, May 5 - The government on Friday formed a judicial commission to investigate and take action against those involved in suppressing the recent peaceful people's movement.
“A five-member powerful judicial commission headed by former Supreme Court justice Krishna Jung Raymajhi has been formed to investigate and take necessary action against those found guilty of suppressing the people’s movement,” senior cabinet member Dr Ram Sharan Mahat told ekantipur over the phone.

A cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s quarters at Baluwatar took the decision Friday evening.

The reinstated House of Representatives (HoR) on Thursday unanimously passed a resolution to initiate immediate action against those involved in suppressing the peaceful popular movement.

At least 19 people were killed and more than 6,000 others injured during the 19-day pro-democracy movement across the country.

Several seriously injured persons are still undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the capital.

Earlier today, Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula said that the government had already moved towards taking action against the culprits of the recent pro-democracy movement.

The minister made the remarks after more than one dozen Members of Parliament (MP) drew the attention of the House on the lacklustre response of the government on taking necessary action against those who used excessive force to suppress the peaceful mass movement.

Home Minister Sitaula also said that the HoR would be notified very soon about the government proceedings.

Agreed King. We should be concentrating on developing the country.. not taking revenge. If we really want to take revenge, we should first deal with the king, not the common people who follow the king's orders. Thats stupidity.

king
i don't know how much of a revenge it is. may be they got thier own political interests, but u have to admit that the last gov't did stoop very low to prevent the demonstrations from happening.
may be i am being oblivious and stupid. but until and unless we adress past wrongdoings, provide amensty and bring criminals to justice, we will never move on. i am not implying lets punish the police who fired shots (they themselves were the victims in many cases), tara 19 people did die(i.e setu) and thousnads were injured. justice must be done to them. how can we just ignore the plights of these families? we must give these families and the poeples some kind of compensation.
we have bigger issues in our plate, absolutely, and we can never get rid of conflicts, but we gotta start somehwere. we have to do so so that in the next round of protests, bound to happen, another 18 people dont' get fired. me not asking to take those high levels officals to hague, but at least recognising that unjust was done also means a lot.
