I am RN nurse in Nepal and I am in US since last 3 months. I am trying to work or go to school but dont have any idea and next thing I  am in H4 visa. I have 3 years Nursing Degree from CTEVT and worked for more than 2 years. Any sajha friends who can give good suggestion or idea. Currently I am in wisconsin.

U should consult nursing counselor in community college or contact the board of nursing there. You can find their add and tel in google.

Sorry yaar, no idea on BN.

I liked the idea Rosaline gave. You can apply for BSN or ADN school of nursing. BSN takes 4 +years and ADN takes 2-3 years to complete. At this time, it is impossible to get job for nurses, esp foreign nurses due to visa retrogression. You can go back to school, or prepare yourself to give NCLEX to get your license, which again you can only practice when the visa retrogression is over. So, the decision is yours. Hope this helps.

You won't be able to work right now. The best way for you is to join Kaplan for NCLEX preparation. They will maintain your status and you can work (in cash) and prepare NCLEX. Forget about going school. You have to go 3-4 year to get BN and your salary won't change much.

Thank you friends(muskan,moon,rosa and ganatantra) for information and I am not from Madan Smriti . It seems green card is packed. I have to choose school or H1. Is there any advantage over BN over Associate Nursing Degree? Next thing is what they call for our Nepal's 3 years Staff nurse degree? Do they count while taking Associate Nursing or BN classes? I am quite naive to this environment, any kind of suggestion is most welcome.
