Me and some of my friends are wearing black wrist bands and anti-monarchy t-shirts to support the ongoing defiance shown by the people of Nepal towards the autocratic king. You can join our small effort to support 'the people and our desire to gain back our sovereignty from the feudal tyrant' After many years, people have decided to step out of their apathetic cocoons and fight for themselves. I think we should play our part in this fight. This time its not about Congress, nor about Maoist or one particular party. Its about us, you and me. Its about a Nepali. If you are with us, wear a black wrist band from tomorrow until peace prevails and spread the world among other Nepalis. Jai Desh, Jai Nepal.

Bathroom coffee, What is going to happen by you posting here? Nothing. What is going to happen by watching TV News? Nothing. What is going to happen by reading a book? Nothing. What is going to happen by talking to your friend? Nothing. What is going to happen by beating the shit out of an unarmed protestor? Nothing. What is going to happen by King ruling the country? Nothing. What is going to happen by Maoist fight the war? Nothing. What is going to happen by me writing this post? Nothing. So why do anything? So why do we even wake up in the morning? FYI, some people have dreams, hope or they believe in something. Some people try to do something however small or however unlikely it is to succeed to r do something for them or for the society. I am sure Gandhi started somewhere small and I am sure Neil Armstrong did not know that he would reach the moon when he started. You may have been out of the country for a long time, but do you remember our age old Nepali proverb, “Every drop makes an ocean.†So Mr. Pessimist, you do not need to comment whenever someone tries to do something.

bathroom, we do not believe that wearing the black wrist band in support of the protests back home will help considerably in changing the political situation there. But, what it will do is show solidarity among us, Nepalis: we are the ones suffering, even if we aren't being shot at or being gassed there on the streets of ktm, we are suffering. Our families, friends and fellow nepalis working for the cause there, going against the will of the so called 'government' need all the support that they can get. It portrays that we are with them. And no, we do not want to be classified in the same category as mahatma gandhi, or neil armstrong. We are good as it is as Nepalis, and more importantly, we want to be free: have a democratic country where the people's voices are heard. Thats all we want. nepaliKochoro

Dear Nepalikochoro, what type of democracy you want in Nepal, a kind of anarchy that existed during 14 years rule of so called democratic parties? Thanks, I don't need that.
