Yes, it is True and reality of Nepal. We had democracy in 1951 after Rana Regime failed and 1990 after Pachayat failed. We are loosing democracy but Not gain new democracy. King gave Democracy, Peace and Freedom.... but Nepali 7 political parties Leaders did crimes, corruption, destroyed law, order, rule and regulation. Which cause market price went up, black marketing, robberies increase, smuggling and trafficking increases, Unemployment rate increase and economy went down sharply.... all these things happen in the hand of Nepali 7 political parties Leaders and members... Is not it? If you do not agree with me, give intellectual logics...

'king gave democracy' is democray the king's property, to give and take away at will? the real blame lies with the feudal monarchial system under which nepal has remained a poverty-laden state for the past 300 years you can tell how insidious this system is by the fact that people are blind to its faults. you criticize the whole democratic structure because one generation of leaders were corrupt however, you want 'proof' that 'gyane is bad', even after he basically took nepal back to a middle-age type system of governance. folks, the natural nature of authoritarian rule is BAD. it takes an exceptionally moral person, an 'enlightened dictator' to make things right in a monarchy. the natural nature of a democratic system is GOOD. it takes the whole spectrum of the political leadership to be corrupt before it shows signs of failing. id rather have a system where people need to suck in order for the system to suck over a system where the leadership needs to be amazingly good before the system can do good.

The king who proclaim divinity; the political leaders who sing democracy but practice autocracy and nepotism; Nepali citizen who let themselves be treated like subjects; the neighbors who meddle for thier own benefits; the world power politics jostling for strategic advantage; the culture of corruption, ignorance and belief that some are more equal than others... There is not one exclusive reason for failure of democracy to deliver the goods. It is the most complex of political systems where every individual has the duty to be informed and make educated decision. That is where our future should be headed, to make Nepalese educated and informed so that the system will work as they should be able to hold their leaders accountable for their inappropriate actions.

After King's message SPA should form new government and demand king for constituent assembly. But they choose different path: Protest Protest... Different media ie; national and international welcome King's decision as well as counties like India, USA and EU but SPA don't listen them. It seems like they don't have courage to form new governent ot they might scare of Moist.

Who will be responsible for this useless protest? SPA knows that they can solve the issue of constituent assembly ofer they elect new government. But they are still misusing innocent Nepali. Why don't they feel suffer of Nepali? SPA don't have clear vision now.

. for all you idiots when are you going to realize this? the extra protest is not what the SPA wants given a choice, they would choose the expedient route and take up the king's offer its the vehemence and the intensity of the protests that has forced the SPA to reject the kings offer if you cant see that, you are blind

Shaha Kings have ruled Nepal about 250 years. Ranas ruled Nepal 104 Years. Parties have ruled 25 years in total ( 1950-60 and 1990-2005). So, who is more responsible for the backwardness and poverty of Nepal? Its clear?

http://asia.news.yahoo.com/060423/afp/060423140825asiapacificnews.html "We have sacrificed many friends to end the monarchy in Nepal. We are ready to sacrifice millions of lives," said Gautam, a high-ranking member of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist), one of seven allied parties protesting Gyanendra's seizure of power in February 2005. "We will move ahead until we establish a democratic republic. We will make it a model of peaceful revolution," he added as leaders called for security forces to join the protest. Whose sacrifice, the common people, did any leader got injured worth mentioning, now death of millions ready to be sacrificed, can't it be worked out with bit of patritism, self censure and lots of wisdom to achieve the same tactically.

Who are responsible for present situation? Well, blame it on Big Bang. If only that sucker didn't happen. If you want more specific answer, like the one "once in a while" asked (he must be a math major because he is good with numbers and a whole lot of BullSh!t) then I'd blame Yalambar. Hope ya all know Yalambar, that Kirati suker king, if only he had GIVEN democracy to us then. Blame this, blame that, spend your life blaming. That's what we are good at, blaming this, blaming that. The bottom line is what KaleKrishna said, everyone of us to the some extent, less or more. So do the math again suckers, how much are "YOU" responsible? I am responsible like 55.6%. Without giving away my privacy, I'd say out of 55.6%, 10% thanks to Marich man, 10% thanks to King Birendra and his poet wife, 10% thanks to Girija alone. 10% thanks to party fued out there in the Government offices in Nepal. Before 1990 you needed 1 source of source force, suddenly after than you needed 3 sources. Rest of the percentages go to everyone from Gyane, Paras, Maoist, SPA, Angelina Jolie (Why does she have such an attitude and hot lips? Rana's must be her anchestors). Bullsh!t sells!!
