Hello People,
I am working for an Ivy League University (stanford) as a research assistant....I just completed my bachelors and am in my OPT period right now. I will be getting my H1B soon which is sponsored by the department I am working for here at stanford
My question is "Am I gona have any problem getting an H1B stamp in nepal, if I go there for a personal visit after I get my H1B here from UCIS?" I am just concerned because I have a bachelors degree (from a reputed college here in US) but not masters... Also the position that I am working right now is a research assistant position which is I chose as an internship opportunity ( not extremely well paid i.e."around like 40K/year") I am doing this because I want to enroll in a PhD program here at Stanford or a same level university....
I am looking for a very honest advice here.....

The answer is NO, you will have no problem at all. you will have no problem getting H1b stamp in Nepal. have your I 797 ready with employment letter indicating your salary and position you are currently working on when you apply for visa. do not forget other ducuments such as transcript from your undergrad. good luck.

Standford is not an Ivy League per se. But your case seems to be pretty compelling.

Even the councelor will be proud that he/she has given stamp to smart person like you. When he/she calls your name for interview, he/she will have this big bright grin on the face and welcomes you with warm greetings. He/she will have this excitment in the voice while talking to you. This happened to me, seriously. . No suspicoius looks and questions, no investigations, no photos of office (haha) like for these IT companies. Your college name itself is world renowned. Better than some IVY's. He/she will not even open your file buddy. The other documents ,excluding H1 petition, are just to fulfill the requirements . Hallee Hallee relax bhayera gaye huncha. I will gurantee that you will get 100%.

He is just explaining his situation. And we are just giving him our experience and suggestion in this matter. If you cannot digest the truth, then it is your problem.
