We all r patriots and and we all want to do something good for our country..i just bought a lottery ticket today and 300 million is the prize money. If i win, this is wat im gonna do..

My dream project is to build a Metro Rail in kathmandu instead of proposed outer ring road which leads to a dramatic reduction in number of traffics in the capital.

Just want to know, what ambitious project would you invest yr money in???

You'd prolly end up getting a lump-sum of about $120-130 million after taxes and all other fees applied to the winnings (since the $300 million is based on a 30 yr period)...Viewing your pic of the diesel/electric super train, I'd hope you would be satistfied with a steam/coal powered train with the new budget instead...Or if thats too lil, maybe you could purchase the toy-train at Ramailo-Mela, construct traks for it around KTM and use it as a mode of transportation thereon. 

BTW, if I hypothetically had $300 million or even a meagre $120 Mill, I'd spend it all partying!  LMAO Ever watched Brewster's Millions?  Awesome!!

 

300 million is not enough,

I have a detail project of railway in Nepal  and its estimated at 700 million.That was 2 years ago.

You might be able to become a major shareholder.

And Mr. twisted this is what I would do if I had that money.

1. Since 150 million wont be large enough to construct subway in KTM, I would deposti that money in bank and request private investor to deposit so that we can come up with atleast 500 million dollars and start our projects. There will be no government investment. Foreign investment would more than welcome.

2. Building undergroung subways would be very expensive. I would rather build a electric train in the ring road and keep cheap ticket price. It will kick atleast 500 polluted vechiles out of business. I hope we wont have any bandha from those vechile ownrers.

3. I would also intiate to construct a  rail way from Khasa to Kathmandu and from Kathmand to Birjung or Biratnagar. This will be a more like a cargo train then the passenger train. Just think how much gas and environment we will save!!!!!.

4. I will be out of $$$ by this time. So I would try to attract more private investment. If I suceed, I will intiate to build a rail track in Terai from Mechi to Mahakali. If USA supports me with $$$ I will build rail way which will reach each and every Sadarmukam of 75 districts.

 

If you have  even $150(25%)  Million You can easily collect arounf $450(75%) Million from market with good business plan.

And for any projects, allocate nearly 200% overhead (commonly 15-20%) based on current scenario.

A selfless act by balbahadur ..........You are good bro I wish your dream come true and you achieve your goal, I however would be a little carefull because The way our govern ment works you would need a liscence and permit to build or even start your project.........which has to be passed by the government which also means that they are going to ask you Bribes and permit money( whichever still will go to the pockets of the government leaders)....I know this because couple of yrs ago In a Kantipur interview os the head of ELYSEE FRONTIERS OF PEACE was going to build the largest Hydroproject in Nepal in the Uppernali. The research alone cost the French Company 10 mil $$ and their funds was $500 MIL. That would provide light to all Nepal cheap and we could sell to India too It would also provide to 50 thousand nepalese and business , housing, school, job road construction oppertunity for many around the hydro company's laoction,  kings cabinate of ministers approved the research and building permit BUT when the king stepped down , The Ruling New power of Girija and Sherbahadur cabinate wanted them to do a new research which was another 10 mill and wanted 5 mil dollares  for the liscence and permit AGAIN. They discredited the Permit given by the Kings cabinate and asked them to start a new one UNDER their rules and a bribe . The French Company refused and Left nepal in Loss and anger. It was a charity org Elysee frontiers for peace. And soon the upper karnali was sold to an indian company which was much smaller and EXPENSIVE. Thats how sad our country is.....SO JUST BECAREFUL BRO....I wish you all the BEST.

In current market situation i will put those 300 millions under my pillow/bed/basement and sleep...do not want to invest anywhere as it will not take time for 300 million to shrink to 30 million....NO BANK GUYS....EVEN FDIC in USA is guarantees only 250 thousands dollars...

    That was just my intial plan. I didnt wrote my detail plance, since it would be too long!!!

Still I want to clarify about getting permits and all...

We all know that without bribing Politicans and governemnt officials nothing will get done..So I have intiated $25 million dollars to bribe YCL to get the things done and save $25 million which I can reinvest in building trains. If I have to bribe Congress leader and Sachip it will cost me $50 million. Instead I will bribe YCL who can  get the things done no matter what!!! They are more powerful then government these days...

Let me know if u have any other trick where I can get my permits and everything in cheap.....
