Hi everyone, I am in OPT right now and I got a job. However, my employer is asking me about the details of my I-94 card in the passport as well. Is that normal? Has anyone done this before? Thank you. S

Why does he need the I-94 details? You already have your OPT I-20 (with is your work authorization from the college), your EAD card (which is the work authorization from the government), you have your SSN card, driver's license. So, in this case why are you getting interrogated on you I-94 as well? I mean, I'm not challenging anyone here; just wanted to know how things work on this side of the world. Jai Nepal!!

Yes, they can ask I-94. I just got government job. My EAD is expiring after 3 months and these government people doesn't know anything about e-verify and H1B, but they asked my I-94, I showed them, that is not an issue. Now I need to quit this job to go government job but not sure if they will extend OPT or do H1B. Very confused
