I am just dissatisfied with how SPA is kissing Maoist Ass.I is not against the peace process but it should be having done without being dominated by Maoist. 1. CA is the bargain Chip: As much as you think that Maoist are going to go back to jungle by now you should realize that moist are tired .The leaders are already hungry for power. At least I can say you that the stalemate would not end before Pachanda dies .So why the Fuc% he did all this for. So, now if they can threaten to do whatever they like we can threaten them with No CA.It is just game. As much as you think Nepalese people want CA they don’t want Maoist with guns before that. So, now that the political parties are safe and have curtailed the king’s power they should not kiss Maoists Ass. US, India and NA is with democratic forces and king so. Maoist cannot do whatever they want at least cannot fulfill their dream. 2. What if they do go back to the jungle: Well that good .they should go back to jungle that is where they belong. Blood will be spilled this time .I am ready to spill 10% of the blood of 14000 that is 1400 leaders of Maoists should be executed. If you think India cooperates, we need CIA intelligence. The leaders like Parchanda and baburam can be killed the tomorrow. 3. Divide and rule: As every party there are leaders who want to go above Pachanda and baburam.Money talks in every language. Divide the army/rebels. Now you ask me why they could not do these all these years because SPA, king always thought they can win by force. There are other ways too. Offer money to rebels...who lay their arms or give info...force is just one of the solution but not all .The money can be amount upto lakhs...it is still cheaper than to compensating one dead police. Offer education, food to rebels who come back to mainsteam.Show the Govt.cares in those villages. When u gets such kind of assurance from govt.the enthusiasm among the fighters fades away. Saam , daam ,danda and Ved ... Till now it has been seen to break maoist insurgency govt using danda.the second force daam is most vital one in today’s world .you can buy anyone . Road to peace: This will be biggest mistake for NC and UML to shake hands with the Maoist without disarming. If they don’t want to .then they cannot participate in the Govt.Trust me it will take them a while to go back. And morally also they won’t have that much support from their own cadres. Until and unless they disarm .they cannot / should not be govt. This is my view but we know how much smart SPA leaders are so. Those jack asses are going to be kicked in their butt. There can only one communist party survive either UML or mao...Uml has not recognized that.NC is the biggest opponent of commies. So, simple if NC do not unite with right wings and among themselves they will see their future doomed. 1. Disarm Maoist 2. Refrendum in fair election whether to keep King or not each individual can vote yes or no …no representative democracy here. Every vote counts... 3. as well as social issues – Hindu country or not should be part of ballet. 4. Role of the king would be decided by the representative elected from the CA.and just the role. 5. after CA... Draft new constitution. 6. Maoist guerillas should not be assimilated in nation army however they wish to join army they can from free competition. 7. The Maoist guerillas would be offered jobs as much possible in the industries. Not in army. NO. 8. Go for HOR election...every party can represent as before including maoist. No discrimination against maoist there. 9. Every thing should be under the new consititution.and Supreme Court should cross check the constitution.

I'd say people who are against the current movement are supporting the crown, because they are supporting the royals in one way or another by discriminating the real democracy that's undergoing rt now in nepal...the transparent one....even ministers are getting scrutinized...don't you seee?? this is real democracy!!! http://www.thehimalayantimes.com/fullstory.asp?filename=aFanata0sgqzpga7Wa8a8a.axamal&folder=aHaoamW&Name=Home&dtSiteDate=20060708 People in nepal are not as dumb as some of you may think. So now, I'd say no matter who is in power, they will have to bow to popular demand. THE POLITICAL POWER IN NEPAL HAS ALREADY BEEN DECENTRALIZED....as one journalist said, "an irreversible process has already started". I wouldn't have been so much against ceremonial monarch if birendra was still on the throne. I think it's morally wrong for us, nepalis to accept gyane as a king. But this symbol might be necessary until the political situation in nepal is fully stabilized. After that, kick the crown out!...no wait...sell it and use it for develpment process...

hahahahha. Imi darling, that last post of mine was a generic one. i did not mean to point it to any specific person per se. it was just my observation of teh political threads here in sajha. i have seen the repurcussions of expressing one's idea and views here, you have experienced it too. i am NOT pointing towards any particular persona here. moreover you happen to be my darling :P. how can i point you alone out? :D. thaha panyen dude, i dream of democratic nepal, and i tend to welcome views from literally everywhere and everybody. i personally dont label a person be it logically biased to a side or not. your logic of labelling and putting aside a person's view to a side does make sense but i happen to be more lenient when it comes to labelling. i dont even explicitly label memyselfandnepal as a royalist, although i know what he is made up of and where his views are coming from. all are his own views and he is entitled to it. i rather believe in democratic practice and i think one should listen to others in a just basis to be able to decipher things and see them in their entirety. i am an opinionated person myself, and i feel many of us are when it comes to things pertaining to "our nepal". no body wants to hurt their own country as long as they love her. its just the way of seeing things. i don't believe i should go on and on and on to convince others on my perspectives. i try my best, but when i don't see it happening, i rather write a story and polish my hobby instead of crying and cursing. :) Loote

Opps .. i did it again..hahaha.. loote bro.. i didn't start this see .. read this thread and you will see. Ok , you are smart person (hahahahahah):).. unlike some person who call himself democratic but resorts in cheap ass practices..hahahaha well, just by having a view that..a king should work together in the boundaries of democratic institution how is it so non democratic???i just don't get it.There is king is Japan,Thailand..and other proseperous nations.. It is up to people to develop Nepal.I tell you this infact i guarantee you this .Mark my word.. even if we remove king ..which .. no body knows whats the future of nepal will look like. With visionless leaders we cannot take risk.I want somebody to layout plan how are they going to take nepal united after the king.Just getting stuck in the issues like killing all the rich won't cut it..I want to see more.. You will see after a year these netas will be fighting with each others and people dissatisfied.Don't get me wrong i am totally for peace process.and my layout is also for peace .Infact i am saving SPA crooks from dying.

hahahha....ImI. if i were a girl i would propose you right away...hahahahaha don't get me wrong here. i dont have any gay vibes ....damn you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahhaa i promised i would never input on political issues in sajha. but you are dragging me to break my promise hehehahaha. so here i am breaking my promise albeit for short span, hahahaa...for ya..just for ya....saturday night so could not help hehe... okay jokes apart, let's see this. my involvement in discussions on political issues by nepali diaspora here in US and a bit in sajha have given me following observations. 1) some people are for full-fledged democratic republic (with maoists as a mere party) 2) some people are for democratic republic (without maoists) 3) some are for ceremonial monarchy with full-fledged democracy (with maoists) 4) some are for ceremonial monarchy with democracy (but without maoists) 5) few are for constitutional monarchy (still, hehe), hence no maoists or its cadres at all. 6) very few are for absolute monarchy (we know what kind of persons are in this group hehe) 7) very few are for all maoists. I, for one, welcome all views. but personally speaking i don't have anything to speak for or against 5) , 6) and 7) because they are obsolete. even with a biased and violent CA, its not gonna happen, that's what i feel. hence first four is what we are looking into. now although there is a significant difference between 2 and 4 or 1 and 3, i think there is a thin line of difference beween them. it all boils down to how far you can afford to be democratic in present context of nepal i am not advocating or speaking against any of those first four groups. but yes, when it comes to republic and ceremonial monarchy, my views are quite straightforward. let me clarify first of all. I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST THE KING. when i was in high school, my father, being a worker under HMG, went to take "tika" from the then King Birendra during dashain. When i saw the tika on his forehead, i could literally make out the shape of KB's right thumb. i felt blessed and so did my dad. that came out of sheer respect-- the respect that we had for the institution. we all know what happened post 1996 and 2001 massacre. so i dont need to reiterate. the reason why i don't see monarchy's longevity in nepal is: 1) the unjust society that we have is the CRUX of our problem. until and unless we can create an environment for an unjust society nothing's gonna happen. forget about the political changes of any magnitude. 2) monarchy is the VERY FIRST REPRESENTATION of our unjust society. why should one need to stoop in front of the royals? because their forefathers united nepal some 250 years back????????????? 3) if you go to a village (30 km away from ktm), you will see a dalit getting suppressed by the so called "thula bada". if a dalit stoops in front of a zamindar (or whatever), it is just like a normal person stooping in front of a royal. there u go--the unjust society. the solution to get rid of that kind of society is what i call the "top-down approach" . start from the highest person in the hierarchy --THE KING. 4) is cermonial monarchy not possible? why not. of course it is. if it is like in great britain. but is it posible to have that kind of monarchy in nepal---NO. Reason: 1) be it ceremonial or constitutional, the influence of king in the nation WILL STILL BE THERE. its a 250 old instituion we are talking about. its branches have extended all over nepal's soil from Mechi to Mahakali or even beyond. so the influence and grip of monarchy and its cadres over the political structure will remain albeit in different forms, if monarchy in nepal prevails be it in any form. 2) where is the respect factor? i mean a cermonial king is one, whom a people should respect. does king G and Prince P deserve it? forget about deserving. will nepali people give them the respect they deserve as a ceremonial figure? food for thought.. 3) with the likes of King G in the palace, monarchy will always have a chance to grow. he will not restrain himself as a cermonial figure. he will try his best to get into the business of politics. do you think he will be satisfied with a cermonial figure alone? no... so depending upon the situation and mentalilty of we people (remember nepalese are smart but not always. we have a habit of going hibernation for 10 freaking years),. he will try to dictate terms. Having said it all, i believe in democratic practice so i am happy to take what the unconditional, unbiased and violence free CA's verdict. Loote

forgive my typos: 1) the unjust society that we have is the CRUX of our problem. until and unless we can create an environment for ****an unjust society**** nothing's gonna happen. forget about the political changes of any magnitude. ***Just society*** Having said it all, i believe in democratic practice so i am happy to take ***what*** the unconditional, unbiased and violence free CA's verdict ***delete--what*** Loote

Good observation loote.. And i am not gay tooo so don't dare proposing me ....:) hahah well, loote where do i fall in hahahaa. if i have to judge then i fall in (3) full fledge democracy and maoist a party, king a ceremonial..I think so i don't know what other people feel .just cause i hate maoist so much they think i do not believe in democracy.. well like you i would accept verdict of CA..that it should be unbiased and violence free.Regarding condition i would expect one.. lay down the maoist weapons..weapons are people come to realize this win votes.. not with guns..They should lay down their weapons. And this is the biggest difference between your and my thoughts. Does Paras deserve to be king .. honestly No.. but why do i still think the ceremonial monarch is ok because ..it is the institution it is not one individual..Paras may die and who knows in 4th generation there might be great social worker born ..they are in high ranks they can change if they want too but for normal people to attain that height is very hard..you know what i mean..if gyane wanted couldn't he do good he could because he had name fame and power. When britain established ceremonial role didn't they had fears as such that you have they had roots too. They had same heriarchail society. Please turn the pages of history. Can we trust king? Can we trust Maoist?.. the answer is with everyone.. -I still like to believe King G because he tried to do good for nepal but in vain.he had power to make difference but he could not understand politics. With clever netas as we have ..look how they are cutting down kings power and he is simply helpless.I don't think he can come back. But there is always doubt.. just like maoist can go back to jungle anytime. that doubt we remain till the verdict of CA.And how they take it. but before we go to CA they should lay down the arms ...that is my condition.i think 95% of sajah user wants that to be seen.

it is a matter of time that good leaders emerge in Nepali political arena. Since people are already fed up with those crook politicians, some promising individuals, e.g., Narahari Acharya, Gagan Thapa as in the case of NC, with visions will soon get the place in each party and will lead Nepali politics in a fair and faithful manner. So, after the monarchy is gone, I am highly hopeful that responsible leadership will emerge. These crooks such as Shusil Koirala, Chirinjibi Wagle, KP Oli, Madhav Nepal including Maos will all be burried (at least politically) by the people. Similarly, Rana (see how gov. was/is unable to do anything againt that Rana while Moondrops was/is charging poor people, how Bharat Kesher Simha threat ordinary people openly) backed by the palace can no longer suck the people. Powerful and politically aware people can do anything, no need to worry about what will happen then. We certainly have a brighter future once we get out of this feudal institution rulling us for 237 years.

well, by unconditional, i meant without any condition that says "king has a default position" or so and so has default position in the political frame before going for CA. of course maoists have to disarm, there is NO question about that. see i m not bringing maoists in the picture here. they CANNOT impose militia or turn nepal into a commie state like North Korea. that too is out of question. my agenda is with the king right now. and don't bring maoists in the discussion and juxtapose them with the king to see who is better. we are NOT in the comparison game. we DON"T want anything that proves fatal in the long term peace and development process. as i said, i dont rely on an institution run by a single person and his cadres. that too based upon a TOO WEAK AND SO UNDEMOCRATIC CRITRION--BIRTH. If i was born in the palace, i would be a royal even if i were a grade 1 fail in terms of edication---what can be more undemocratic than that? i wish monarchy in nepal was like britain. but i don't see it happening. i have already explained the reasons. i too was so sympathetic towards monarchy, had my head shaved when King Birendra was ruthlessly killed. But, this king and his son have already done enough against people, and i hold the opinion that those who are culprits at peoples eyes should be punished by the people: not only the monarchy, but also the corrupt SPA leaders, and Maoists. Now, it is the right time to punish the monarchy through CA, then SPAMs come in the row.

ImI deary, when british establised ceremonial role, they did it out of sympathy. The beheading of king charlesI(1600-1649) , created "a cult of martyrdom" and in 1660, monarchy was restored. http://www.british-civil-wars.co.uk/biog/charles1.htm So if you want to follow the british, then lets punish the king first, and out of sympathy, make shurti's daughter the queen of nepal. okay?

Okay Dear, We will do that!!!hahahahah.. why shruti's daughter we will make you queen of Nepal!!:) The situation is different . the circumstances are half people don't trust king?half people don't trust maoist?was it like that in britain???? So..when we punish King what about the mao monkey jumping in...i can't trust them and more than 50% cannot trust them .But you cannot trust king.Simple as that.. how come ceremonial king in other country is happy with thier existence??Similarly, King G would be satified with ceremonail role.forget about punishment. No body get punishment for anything in Nepal..No corruption nothing.. Again, i go for refrendum not CA for the status of King.every nepalese have to say .You may be surprised even maoist cadres if not brain washed and allowed to vote for will would vote to keep king.CA is part of representative democracy..i want true democracy in this issue..got my point..so you cannot say i am royalist and blah blah...

Okay I'll be waiting for the crown :P But I'm firm believer of justice!!! I don't think the king should be forgiven after commiting heinous crimes. Even prachanda(my daddy according to you..ha ha hah aha...) should be brought to justice, if he is proven for commiting crimes. But I bow my head to CA, if coducted fairly. Why make judgement beforehand? who knows what'll be the result. Sincerely, sajhauser
