How is Argentian  doing ...for world cup 2010 qualifying ....any update...

All depends on next game which is going to happend on 14th Oct. Currently Arg is in 4th place in the table which means they can qualify for 2010 world cup if they win next game and retain their position.

Should Argentina beat Uruguay, they will qualify automatically. Should they draw, then they will at least make it to play-offs. Should they draw and Equador lose against Chile, Argentina will secure an automatic berth. Should Argies lose against Uruguay and Equador beat Chile, Argies won't qualify.

How abt Portugal ??

what vyrus said is infact 100% right. . . .  if you look at the history every time the world cup has been won by Europe and then by S. America at least  as far as i know, since 1978.  So last time europe won, this time S. Americ ashould win which means either Brazil or Argentina...   lets forget about Brazil, its turn for argentina .. ..   and as in 2002, brazil  was in the same position as Argentina today. Later, Brazil won that and so I hope, same happens for Argentina

The only problem is, a country needs to qualify first before it can win the WC. As much as I want Argentina to qualify automatically, I do not see them winning the decisive game with Uruguay on Wednesday. The best they can do is tie the game and pray for Ecuador loss.  Argentina have been struggling a big time, and still they can’t seem to get their acts together. Whether they make it to the WC or not, Maradona’s reign must end soon.
