Dear friends and family:

This is to request your contribution to the Tsunami Relief Fund. You may have heard of the Tsunami disaster, the killer waves that destroyed most of South-east Asia. According to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the death toll from the tsunami has crossed 78,000. It could likely top 100,000, as more bodies are found from India to Indonesia.

Emergency workers are struggling with power outages, destroyed communications and badly damaged roads. Health experts say the relief operation looks woefully inadequate with shortages of coffins, equipment, food, and medicine. They have warned disease could kill as many as or more people than the tsunami, as the full extent of the tragedy begins to unfold.

This is where we can make a difference. Your contribution could mean life to tsunami survivors. Please be generous and give from your heart. All funds will be collected by CNP and handed to a tax-deductible non-profit organization with low overhead. We are reviewing the multitude of options available and will inform you when we select a suitable one. This will also give CNP much needed exposure within the Asian-American community in Chicago. All donations are tax deductible and a reminder will be sent by e-mail.

INSTRUCTIONS:
You can email your pledge to excoms@cnpariwar.org. for our records.

You can then mail your contribution to: 6033 N. Sheridan Road, Apt 36J, Chicago, IL 60660 Attn: Rabin Pradhan.

Please leave the ?payable? section blank. Write the check amount, sign, and in the memo section, please write ?CNP Tsunami Fund.?

Additionally, we have pick-up boxes at these locations:
Himalayan Restaurant, Niles, IL
Mt. Everest Restaurant, Evanston, IL
Express Pantry, Bryn Mawr & Kenmore, Chicago, IL

We can also arrange for pick-up upon your request. Thank you for your support.

For CNP,
Rabin Pradhan, President.

Something smells fishy!!! why leave the payable section blank and mail it to apartment address?--- This questions might be bothering you big time... but All we wanna do is make your donation Tax deductible. Am I right Mr. President? and also, please convey my "HI" to the first lady.

You guys are doing the right thing, keep it up. This is much better than raising money for Puskar Shah. And you don't have to be a chicagoen to make a donation to this charity.
