Save Nepal from whom? Girja and his gang or Madhav and his gang or Prachanda and his gang?

I want civil rights returned... i do not care whether Gyane kills madav or girija... but he cannot kill poor innocent student... that too firing from helicoptor... it should be condemned... If I am opposing maoist lefist dictatorship then why should I support this gyane and dhundukari's rightist dictatorship..... if monarchy remains in its boundry i have no problem... I did support kings october 2002 move... but this feb 01 move is too much... you can not dictate us how to live our life... I have no trust in this gyane... person who couldnot keep his 30 years old son in track how can he keep nepal in track... this is all for quenching his power thirst....

Take a side save_nepal. The side you are taking is only available in utopian land not in Nepal. Of the numerous alternatives that was available to Nepal, the current is definetly the best one (and hopefully most effective)...Deal and live with it! You can't say well I like his this move, but I don't like this one..well I like this about maoist but this is too much...Make up your mind...Nepal is not a utopia! Revival

its not about eutopia.... you will not be talking in this tone... god forbid... had some one from your family died due to army brutality firing at student rally from helicoptor... come thats similar to china's tinanium square, hitlers gas chamber....

I understand your frustration..the only thing I can say is ...of the numerous options this is probably the best one (overall not individual localized events you have been talking here) ! That is all I can say...Look at the big picture guys

I feel the same way at this time. Democracy without proper education is only for those currupted politicians. They are the only one getting all the freedoms. Corruption is envitible in poorest countries where the salary is not enough to feed family. There will always be the evidence of undertable businesses. Politicians are furious and want the general public to come for strikes for them so that they can climb the stairs where they can feed their "undertable deals" hungry bellies. Why sacrificing lives for their self serving motives? I believe that there are enough hard headed people with nothing but distruction in their minds or some of them are promished that they will receive some chunks after the election will come forward to raise their stupid voices and get bullets and will be forgotton in few days. Then Why sacrificing lives for their selfish motives? WHY? Do you believe when DEMOCRACY was introduced in Nepal was for general public? I strongly do not think so. More than half of the people even do not know what it is. Those so called democratic leaders from different remote parts of the country once get elected they forget where they are from and forget what they promished their fellow people in his/her village. Life in Kathmandu is full of luxury for them, government vehicles and lots of facilities. Who wants to go back, mate? Big words spoken during prelection are for winning pupose only. I hate to read these politicians' cry at these days. "My father of 81 is house arrested" Sujata - who cares. There are more people killed because of these hardheaded politicians at both sides who cannot come to negotiate. I really hate to read their pitiful cry at these moments. They should be arrested and rot in jail for long time for what they did to the country and people. I was always hoping that Maoist will one day justify the crimes of these politicians by capital punishments. But now I think they are also just another POLITICIANS of himalayan kingdom. Cries for help for freeing the corrupted poiticians can be heard everywhere now. They need the support of poors and weaks. Once elected those poors and weaks are not even allowed to come near their compounds. NOW ITS TIME TO SHOW THAT WE DO NOT TOLERATE SELF CENTRIC POLITICIANS' ACTIVITIES AND WILL NOT SUPPORT THEIR WHATEVER CAUSE TO MAKE THEM RICH. LET THEM ENJOY JAIL..THIS IS THE ONLY TIME WHEN THEY SERVE FOR WHAT THEY COMMIT. MAKE THIS PERIOD STRETCH LONGER SO THAT SOME OF THEM ROT.

Let me throw in my accordance with revival, wheels and f_nepalese's sentiments. What exactly do people like save_nepal (very misguided name, if i may say so) want? You don't like the netas, the maoists, the king, then what do you propose is the solution should be? It's easy to be a critic. People like them will bark at anything and dismiss any action taken (no matter who is in power). It's that kind of pessimism and cynicism that's ruining the country. If you have a real solution, then propose it. If not, then your incoherant rambiling do not add up to 2 paisa. If you're talking about students being injured during protest, that is a regretable but common occurance everywhere. Rememeber the WTO protests in washington that got out of hand and got many arrested and injured. And that happened in the US. If you want law and order, then you have to supress the so-called protests. Just because you yell and scream and break things, does not mean you have a valid point.

and how do you know that news is authentic????that army used helicopters to shoot at students, it is just a rumor spread by Indian's...... it was writen in a indian newspaper and you know indian's are furious that the Nepali Neta's who kissed their ass and wagged their tails as soon as India called their names cannot dictate what they want in nepal now..... ..... talking about free speech, guys some of ya'lls visa has expired, might get deported, talk about free speech, when the INS kicks you out of USA where is your free speech going to lead you? Most of us are students and free speech don't apply to us, trust me!!! after 911 your free speech has become one way plane ticket to NEPAL.

Thanks freeofdogma and aayo_gorkhali! Very well said and very valid points! I had an opportunity of talking to a neta from Nepal i congress who was visiting USA briefly not to long ago...asked him a simple question about what he or his party has in plan for a successful solution to the grave problem nepal is facing and all he could go about was saying "Yedi tyo deuba le santi garna sakcha raja ko pachadi lagera bhane hami pani herum na" I was like WTF? One that don't answer my question Two I lost faith on any netas permanently after that incident..another question was why don't you guys start by taking the blame and saying sorry to the citizens of nepalese and he goes " Yedi hami le maaf magera samasya samadhan hune bhaye la hami sabai maaf magchau tara samasya samadhan hune gurantee dinu paryo ni, without that gurantee why do we loose our face:? I almost puked at his response..No wonder King G had to take this drastic move to get these corrupt politicians out of our beutiful country! Nothing is exaggerated here everything is coming from an honest nepali with honest heart! Believe me guys..it is not worth crying out loud for these stupid and moronic politicians..They need to rot in Jail now ALL OF THEM! Revival Waiting for phone lines to be back (Used to be new beginning he he he) Let me here some more of your accounts

The Indian media nearly turned Gajendra Tamrakar into a terrorist. Did you all forget it so easily? The only reason Indians are unhappy is that they lost their nokars in Nepal who would have easily sold them Mahakali and Kalapani and so on.

this is just my thaugt. First of I wanna make clear that I do not support netas, king or maoists. However, in current situation there was so lawlessness in Nepal that some drastic measure was reqd. Anybody could get away with murder, rape extortion and every crime possible. The so called Netas failed us and brought this pathetic situation. Now the ball is with King. I do not agree with civil rights being suspended. I think instead of arguing and fighting over its time to unite and watch kings steps. I think he should be given some time. Instead of going head to head with king its time to give him a chance and all Nepalese instead of fighting with each other work hand on hand to bring peace and stabilty. Highfly for peace in Nepal
