Do you people support democracy or do you support 7 party? Choice is yours. I am for the people of Nepal and democracy. So I do not support 7 parties, Maoists and the present demonstrations held from support of Maoists.

For democracy not for 7 parties. These seven parties are fighting just for Singadurbar. Ordinary nepalese people do not support them. Those taking part in demonstrations are their henchmen and paid mercinaries.

Current situation only leads to more stalemate and Maoists will benefit from it. The best thing to do now is to make King and party in one side and isoate the Maoists to disarm them completely. Only then moves for democracy can be taken. Otherwise, Nepal is going to be a failed nation like Cambodia.

isolate and disarm the maoists? isnt' that waht the governmetn has been trying to for the past decade? how will isolating the moaists make the situation better? they will only tighten thier grip in the country sides as the nepali security forces continue to fight them. as for "democracy" by the king and the parties withtout bring the maosits, we will end up with a very inefficeint Parliament that is run by the king with all the current leaders like girija and sher bahadur deuba and that is werhe their street protests will end as the maoist insurgency continues.....

Lfc ji, If the parties become honestly committed to the nation instead of being puppets and stooges of India, Maoists can be and will be defeated very soon. The bottom line is the major parties should not yield to pressure and promises of India. Throughout the 90s, parties have been acting in their own interest and India's interest through Tanakpur and such. If all parties fail to take the Indian bait, Maoists will be disarmed within a year. It is tough but possible. Good night for now. It is getting late. I will come back later tomorrow.

The king is striving for power. When a king has a power, then it can not be democracy. The king should not greed on power. He should be just a symbolic king and give power to people. But I think, at this point of time, Gyanendra has lost the chance of beign a 'good king' for good benifit of nepal. Regarding SPA and Mao, they already ruined their image when they ruled the country (thats why when Gyane coup the country no people made objection). King is not reall working for good of People. Partys are on getting chair...mao is trying to revive 'old dead system' obsolete in the world. How can we get Democracy. And What is exact definition democracy for Neplaese People?

Democracy is perfect System of 21 st century. SPA might exists or not in future but democracy will go forever.....Why millions of people are on the street? 14 months of rules by king only push Nepal backward and I bet you Moist will push Nepal 100 years back if they will get power. We need new vision and new leadership. Protest will continue until we get freedom.
