Its the utmost duty of the seven parties to control the mob mentality in the country. There will be too many dead people in the capital if people are not controlled. This is the time when we need leadership the most. Please send this message to the alliance. Please control the people. A life is a life whether its the millitary or the general public. Lets not waste it. We can achieve our goals in different ways. We can achieve the same goal by forming an interim government that will take the army away from the palace's control. Please stop the violence. Too many people have already died. There will be more dead. Lets act responsibly.

Just got the news that there are a lot of Maoists and paid mobs in the current protests. In Pokhara, Maoists are going door to door threatening people to take part in the protest or face the "consequence", not knowing what it might be....Get shot or hands chopped off...what not !! Why can't the SPA achieve what they want by forming a govt, and fight the King in the House?? If they pass a low by overwhelming majority, King better give up his ill-conceived power.....Can we ask the SPA to not kill ordinary citizens by depriving them of Food, and other basic necessities........People can't handle this sort of prolonged aandolon...where majority of the people survive on daily wages.

Well, but, sdly, Netas don't care...they have Big "Mahals" and lavish lifestyle that can withstand any uproar from uncontrolled paid Mobs !

Everybody in Kathmandu knows now that Sujata Koirala floated 15 kg of GOLD for this demonstrations. The rates for participating in the protests are:

1. Mashaal Julus Participant gets Rs. 1500
2. Day-time protest demos participant gets Rs. 300, with good bargain this amount can be also Rs. 500.
3. Not only that the I/NGO's are also floating money for organizing the Julus/Protests.
4. SPA is under strong pressure by Maoists.
5. So now NC has hailed latest Indian positive view on Royal Proclamation.
6. When CNN asked some demonstrators where they have come from, the answer was "From Jungle".

Why would I bring my family members into this mess if it was not for real? You don't have to believe in what I say...but the truth is there.......

I find it hard to beleive a rally of 500,000 can be organized by paying people to come to the streets. Sujata Koirala's money doesn't add up to that much. Most of these protests have been spontaneous, but yes there have been cases, especially outside Kathmandu where Maoists have emptied villages and brought people to the streets to protest. There is no definitive answer to whether people are out there out of conviction or compulsion : I'd say at best conviction and at worse a mix of both. But there is no way in hell these protests are fuelled solely by money or intimidation. To say so would be to deny the underlying driver: frustration with the King.

To Vincent Bogada's earlier point about parties needing to control mob mentality : I fully agree but it looks like the movement has already spun out of their control and they need to do something to bring it back under control. It seems the decision to reject the King's offer was, amongst other things, driven by this. Lets hope the SPA can do this and something good comes out of it all.

Orion:
I didn't say all 500,000 people were forced to join...but they should leave the ones who don't wanna join because of physical problem, or just don't wanna get hurt must be left alone, and protest in some other fashion....like by not going to office, or not displaying black flag, or so many other things.....going to streets and vandalising is not the only way to protest....May PEACE prevail...without losing any more lives !
