I am trying to reset my old wireless router. Router model is Netgear WGR614v6. During set up process, everything goes ok but at last when the program tries to connect netgear website for router login, the computer can not connect the site and takes long time. When I went to router website, it appears that this model and other some models can not acess the router log in but has not given any solution. Computer Geeks, please help.

Can't get to router Web pages using www.routerlogin.com or
Affected target=_blank>www.routerlogin.net

Affected
products: WGT624v1, WGT624v2, WGR614v5, WGR614v6, WPN824v1

Symptoms

* The router administration pages are not available using the URLs www.routerlogin.com or
When target=_blank>www.routerlogin.net.

When
accessing the Internet, various computer applications do a "DNS lookup", which is a way of converting between URLs that are easy-to-read such as http://www.netgear.com with their numerical equivalent. (For www.netgear.com, it's http://12.7.210.242/). Some programs make such a large number of request for these DNS lookups that the router's firewall software treats it as a potential attack. In this situation, the computer making these requests is blocked by the router from the Internet.

At the moment, there is no workaround

try this out to get to the web page(it works on a gateway..don't know if it works on a router):

go to start>>>run

type cmd and press enter..[ a dos screen appears]

type ipconfig and press enter

it will give u some info.....now enter the number combination on the line that says default gateway...[ e.g. 111.111.1.111] on the address bar of a web browser...( i have IE and firefox....works on both0

this should get u to the webpage
